Unorthodox Wedding Favor Ideas

Just like other wedding elements, wedding favors are equally important in planning a memorable wedding. But rather than sticking to the the normal wedding favor ideas, it may be in your best interest to try something new for a change, something that will not just catch your wedding guests off guard but leave them pleasantly surprised, which is exactly what you want if you want to knock the wedding out of the park. Here are just a few ideas that you definitely should consider.

Purses

Purses are one part of handmade wedding gifts that stand out amongst all others. All accessories bought in a wedding can be used as wedding favors. Putting a note that says something like, “Thank you for your attendance and your gift”, and also make it personal if possible.

Women especially use purses all the time, and men can give it to their loved ones themselves, making it a perfect gift that will certainly find a use in some capacity. The more expensive purse the better, but you need to make sure that you can actually afford it as a wedding favor for ALL guests at the party, so be sure to take that into consideration.

Mugs

Once you add it all up, offerings of handmade gifts are definitely fashion-forward. Wedding favors might not be personally selected, however. If they are given as leftover gifts at the reception, deciding whether or not to keep it as a wedding favor is based on the quality of the items, as well as whether or not they are unique.

Our friend Mila’s Velvet Mug is an every day household staple we keep in our kitchen, and the scent of a fresh pour in the mug brings in the memory of her wedding. The mug is an incredibly satisfying thing to drink out of, both in sweet delight at the same time as in design appeal. Don’t forget to show how much you appreciate your wedding favor with a cute gift tag as well.

Customized Table Cloths

Given how we all eat dinner every day, and almost every day do that right at the dinner table, what better way to get your guests to remember the big day with a customized table cloth to commemorate the occasion.

You can either make it explicitly about the wedding itself, including the names of the bride and groom, date of the wedding, and other specific details.

Or you can just make a more generic (yet still beautiful) table cloth that people will actually want to use as their table cloth. If there is any secret meanings behind the table cloth design, then all the better to incorporate it and make it that much more meaningful!
